Our Story

John Z. Duling opened Duling Tree Expert Company in 1954. John was a nationally-known and highly respected figure in the field of arboriculture. As past president of the International Society of Arboriculture, the Tree Care Industry Association, and the Indian Arborist Association. His expertise and knowledge in the industry made him well-known and sought after speaker for many years. He ran Duling Tree Expert Company until his retirement in 1992.

Combining Companies
Eric Gillette formed Gillette Tree and Landscape in 1983, operating separately from Duling Tree Expert Company until combining in 1992 to provide a broader spectrum of services to homeowners in the Delaware, Madison, and Blackford County areas.
